Sharing files, photos and contacts

One of the key Secure Chat features is the ability to share files such as documents, videos, photos and contact information, each of them encrypted. There is a 25 MB size limit on shared files.

Sending files from Vault trough Secure Chat

1. Start a conversation.

2. Tap on the bottom right of the chat screen.

3. Select File.

4. The File Browser opens, locate and tap the file you want to share.

This option is available only if you have the Secure Vault app installed on your Secure Phone. Follow the link for instructions.

3. Select Take Photo to add a newly taken photo and then to send it in the chat, or select File and tap the picture to send.

3. Select Video message to add new taken video and then tap to send it.

You can video messages up to 30 seconds.

Share contacts

There are two ways to share contacts in Secure Chat – via the Contact Info screen, and in a P2P chat session.

Share a contact in a chat session

  1. Start a chat session with the person you would like to share a contact with.
  2. Tap , and then tap Share contact.
  3. Choose the contact you would like to share.
  4. Tap Share on the Share Contact confirmation pop-up.

Share contact details from their profile

  1. In the Contacts tab, long press on the contact you want to share.
  2. Select from the quick menu to access the contact’s profile.
  3. Tap on the bottom right. Choose Share.

  4. You’ll be redirected to your contact list to choose with whom to share the contact.

Manage shared contacts

To start chatting with the person, whose vcard has been shared with you, you first need to become contacts in Secure Chat.

  1. Tap Send Invitation on the received vcard.

  2. Tap Add on the Add Contact pop-up to send an invitation to connect.
  3. As soon as they accept your request, you can start chatting by tapping Start Chat.

The contact information is sent as a text message, and you can perform basic operations, such as save to Vault, copy, forward and delete. To do so, long press on the shared vcard.
